THONDAIMANDALA MUDALIARS

                           COMMUNITY WEB-SITE

                             OUR  PATH  OF  PROGRESS

(Note : The latest information is given on the top and the old one, in the bottom)

3RD AUGUST, 2007

We have about 130 Recipes,  which we prepare both during our festival days and in our day-to-day menu, listed in our web-site.
Out of this, we have just compiled preparation methods in respect of 62 recipes  which we are adding in our web-site, to-day. Balance recipes will be added progressively.
We hope our community members will find it useful. This will be more useful to our younger generation members, particularly who are living abroad and even to our bachelors who are forced to resort to  self-cooking, just for survival, in a foreign country where, as a pure vegetarian, you cannot get anything to your taste outside!.
We are confident, if you follow the preparation method step-by-step, the result should be upto your expectation.  In the most unlikely event of not being so, you are welcome to write to us, for having a  relook  at it, and make necessary correction, if required.

1st August, 2007

Fully aware of the fact that no Community Web-site is complete without having a Matrimonial section in it, we have to-day included in our Web-site  a new section "MANGALA ARANGAM", for the benefit of all our community members.
For full details,  for making use of this feature, please click "Mangala Arangam" on our web-site home page index.

There are 15 Columns in our Community Kodi-vazhi Jabitha which gives complete details of any community member.  We find that  a number of community members who like to include  their family details in the Community Web are finding it difficult to get all details in respect of these 15 columns.
We like to clarify in this connection that  details for all 15 columns are not Mandatory. Only details for the following columns are  a Must. Other details are optional.
            a)Gothra Name.
            b)Name of the member.
            c)Native Place.
            c) Spouse name.
            d)Spouse gothra, if available.
            e)Spouse native place.
Member ID (MID), Gothra ID, Generation, Rank. Spouse ID and Spouse gothra IDs are system generated.  This is in respect of whose families whose ancestors details are already available on the Web.

For those members whose ancestors names are not available on the Web, they need to give details from their Vamsavali Moola-purshas. It can be from their Grandfather onwards. Never is too  late for including the family details in our community web-site.

3rd July, 2007

23rd June, 2007

We are very privilaged and lucky to have been born in Thondaimandala Mudaliars Community with Tamil as our Mother Tongue,  in that we have inherited  very rich collection of "Thuthi Padalgal" authored by great Poets, on our Gods.
The day is not very far, when our Community Members will be occupying high posts  all over the world and  each  of our household will possess computers with high speed internet facilities. And also, the days for  existance of any information, including literature, thuthi  padalgal etc., in  hard copies are counted. You will agree that  the future is for availability  of
every information  in "e" version only.
With this in mind, in our Community Web-site, a section under heading "Thuthi Padalgal"   has been  just started. In this section,  we will be creating a collection of  classicial  poems on our Gods, authored by very great poets, to enable our Members  to recite them during our festivals. We have grouped  them under 7 titles, so as to enable our honorable members recite one title each day on all the 7 days of the week and benefit greatly from this.   As we growup in age, people will find reciting such poems will bring great mental peace and happiness.

21st May, 2007

In order to view the details of members of each gothram only, (since the master list is too large to browse)
we have today improved our web-site so that you can goto Gothra Masterlist, find your gothra and click on it.  You will be
able to view not only your gothra member details from gothra moola-prusha onwards till now but also your Family Deity
Photo will be available right on top of the list always blessing the members.  We have introduced this new feature to-day
only in respect of  “AG” and “MA”  gothras-IDs, since we had their family-deities  photos  readily with us. We will be covering all the  gothras under this new feature shortly.
In the meantime, we  would like to request the energetic members of each gothra to send their family deity photo
with details so that it can be included.
